Dangerous myths about CPR - No Breaths anymore

American Heart Association created a series of videos featuring survivors and rescuers who talk about the importance of CPR and dispel common myths about this lifesaving skill. Many people are afraid of doing CPR because they think they’ll hurt someone. CPR, especially if performed immediately, can double or triple a cardiac arrest victim’s chance of survival. Your actions can only help. Check out this video to learn how any injury caused by performing CPR properly is either rare or not serious. Some people think CPR with breaths isn’t necessary because Hands-Only CPR has been shown to be as effective as conventional CPR for cardiac arrest at home, at work or in public. Fact: CPR with breaths is still necessary for certain situations.
