Discovering the Africa Health Exhibition and Congress 2018

JOHANNESBURG – This year will see the 8th edition of Africa Health Exhibition & Congress that will take place in Johannesburg, South Africa from 29 – 31 May 2018 at Gallagher Convention Centre, and will host over 10,100 attendees and 553+ exhibiting companies. 

The importance of this event is not limited only to commercial points of view, but it is a very important occasion to understand news, developments and discovers inside the emergency and prehospital care field in Africa. African regions are making an extraordinary effort to improve the quality of their EMS and this is really important to assure better health care to an always growing population. The arguments and points of discussion will be many and very interisting.

We interiewed Mr. Ryan Sanderson, Exhibition Director for Informa Life Science’s African portfolio of exhibitions, i order to know the history and the importance of this show. Originally from South Africa, Ryan moved from his role at Informa in London to the UAE office in 2015 to work as part of the Africa team. With ten years’ worth of experiencing in running market leading exhibitions in multiple verticals, Ryan now oversees Informa’s exhibitions in the East, West and South of Africa and is responsible for Medic East Africa (Kenya), Medic West Africa (Nigeria) and Africa Health (South Africa).
Ryan obtained BSc degrees in both Experimental Physiology and Microbiology from Wits University in Johannesburg before emigrating to the UK.
