5,000 students involved in the 'Safety on the Road' project

Green Camps: a learning opportunity on road safety for young people

safety on the road (2)With the Green Camps in Manfredonia and Varese, the first phase of the “Safety on the Road” project, a valuable initiative promoted by the Red Cross in cooperation with Bridgestone EMIA, has come to a successful end. These camps represented an important learning opportunity on road safety for the young participants.

The commitment to promoting road safety does not stop here: in October, the project will continue in secondary schools throughout Italy. Encouraging meetings and training courses are planned that will involve as many as 5,000 students. The meetings will be conducted with passion by the Volunteers of the CRI Committees and will be actively supported by Bridgestone employees in the Milan, Rome and Bari offices.

This project is a tangible demonstration of the importance of collaboration between organisations and companies to promote an increasingly aware road safety culture among young people.
