Disasters Expo Europe: The Conference for Relief Professionals

1000s of Emergency Response Professionals to Congregate for Expo in Frankfurt

In 2024, Europe will see its first edition of the internationally renowned Disasters Expo, known as one of the world’s leading events for disaster management professionals. Setting up shop at Messe Frankfurt on the 15th and 16th of May, the event is set to be attended by professionals in their thousands.

The event’s three primary focuses will be Networking, Education, and Exhibitions, with the common goal of strengthening the European community against disasters and weather events.

Attendees can expect to find a dedicated networking area, in which visitors will be able to meet each other, chat, and build long-term professional partnerships. It’s also worth noting that the other areas of the event will be perfectly suitable for networking.

For visitors eager to learn, the event will be a showcase for over 100 exciting seminars, with talks from the World Bank, IFaw, and European Space Agency representatives, among many other respected industry leaders. The Expo will also include immersive live demonstrations from weather scientists, offering attendees a digital experience of intense events. The event’s lineup will be sticking around after their showcases, offering visitors the chance to stop and chat with them.

The event will also have a major focus on product sourcing, hosting hundreds of exhibiting businesses, each with exciting technological solutions, tools, and services to share with attendees.

The event follows a catastrophic 2023 for the continent, with over €77 billion in damages caused and 74,000 lives lost to disasters in Europe, both record highs for recent historic. Many scientists argue that the rise in intense weather events has been caused by climate change, causing sustainability schemes to bleed into the emergency response sector.

Disasters Expo Europe will be hosted by Fortem International, an international trade show producer that has hosted B2B events the world over. Encapsulating many avenues of the industry, the event is already buzzing as one of the most essential professional gatherings this year
