The Thai True Corporation, in cooperation with the Nopparat Rajathanee Hospital, is supporting the 5G network in order to provide brand-new functions into అంబులెన్సులు. According to the head of the True Corporation, 5G will change the way of providing care throughout the country. The state-run Nopparat Rajathanee Hospital is handling 3,000 patients per day and the patient, so the support of ambulances as ER could be significative.
5G allows to send high-resolution large data like CT scans and ultrasound images via the network. This is the so-called “smart intelligence network”. Chalermpon Chairat, chief of the emergency unit at the hospital, reported that via 5G network the hospital’s ambulances have been transformed into smart vehicles in which CCTV cameras can live-stream all activities inside.
Thailand new smart ambulance equipment
The smart ambulance emergency crew would wear augmented reality (AR) glasses that will transmit images in real-time back to hospitals. Doctors will be able to observe patients’ symptoms, such as stroke or accident wounds.
The idea is also to use mobile CT scans and mobile X-rays, including mobile ultrasound on the ambulance, in order to speed the scanning process by 30 minutes.
