Portugal, Sweden and Latvia have also decided to suspend the administration of AstraZeneca’s Covid-19 vaccine, pending a ruling from the European Medicines Agency (Ema).
The decision by the governments of Lisbon, Stockholm and Riga follows earlier decisions by Germany, Italy, France and Spain as a precautionary measure after a number of thrombosis incidents occurred in people who had received the Anglo-Swedish vaccine in recent days.
