FOXCOT RA061-1 S3 SRC

I work for the emergency medical service which operates in a wide and complex area, that goes from the Brescia city edge to the Garda Lake. We generally take care of difficult operations in building sites and urban areas, a melting of different areas with limited access. That’s why we need shoes which must be comfortable, resistant and safe. These three elements are found in the safety shoes FOXCOT RA061-1 S3 SRC.

The first interesting element is the impact of these shoes. They seem classic safety shoes, but the design is modern, the use of colours and leather makes them look more like trekking shoes than classic safety boots. What I need when I work is a very comfortable boot and light to take even long shifts (8-12 hours) but it must be protective and comfortable for the ankle, because of the position in which one often sits in an ambulance. Shoes must also be space-saving to guide emergency vehicles. We have only compact vehicles, the Volkswagen T6, which therefore have a more automotive than van pedals.

My impression with FOXCOT RA061-1 S3 SRC on

This FOXCOT are interesting shoes to try on the long winter services. At the first fit, the shoe turned out to be immediately soft. It is a great advantage to have comfortable work safety shoes from the first moment, but this value could become a defect after a long period of use. Right from the start, however, you have to do with comfort, in any aspect. This safety shoe is not too high, so it does not scratch the calf, nor too short. The ankle is bandaged and protected from bumps even without obvious reinforcements, except for the very smart instep inserts.

As said, in the walk and in the recovery activity of the patients, the style and the confirmation from trekking help a lot. The heel is very well cushioned and this facilitates the discharge of the foot. When you have to jump over a ditch or face rough terrain, this value is felt. Even the sole with the reflective side and the very evident orange colour is much appreciated. The non-slip rubber always does its duty and the sole design ensures a good grip. The leather is well-made and water resistance is excellent. In general, the quality of the product is good compared to the purchase price.

I really appreciate the padding because warm shoes in winter are essential. Very good also the quality of the tongue. The confirmation of the laces instead makes them difficult to replace. In general, however, the shoe made a good impression on me. At the first wash, they did not show signs of strain or problems. As they are not polished leather shoes, cleansing must be a little more delicate than with other types of footwear.

  • QUALITY – High protection and quality 4/5
  • COMFORT – Since the first fit it is soft (positive) 4/5
  • RESISTANCE – Fine manufacturing, but some doubts about the laces 3/5
  • DESIGN – Nice and elegant even if they are safety shoes 4/5
