gaibana-hovering-shoesI work in the pre-hospital care setting as an employee for the emergency medical service and secondary health services in urban and extra-urban areas. What I need is a very light and comfortable boot to face long shifts (8-12 hours) but that should not be too heavy, or even uncomfortable for the ankle.

My impressions with Gaibana ES118 HOVERING on

The leather of Gaibana ES118 HOVERING protects with maximum effectiveness not only from water, snow, mud, sand, terrain, high or low temperatures, but it is particularly suitable for the specific “aggression” in which we can run into during an emergency service, such as organic material. This element is held into high consideration by the manufacturers and got great feedback from those who used this footwear in rescue operations.

Synthetic materials have been almost excluded, even if commonly considered more waterproof and washable of others, but actually, they are woven and therefore not completely smooth, which can cause the risk of depositing micromaterial such as sand, terrain, blood and more.

To restore hygiene, keep leather breathable, and maintain PH characteristics, it is just required a neutral detergent in minimal doses, and the regular use of water-based repellents.

Indeed, transpiration is a strong feature of this natural material, as the ability to soften with body heat. This allows the shoe to conform immediately to the foot and ensures the comfort that inspired the project.

  • QUALITY– Very good boot, high protection and comfort, not very light. 4/5
  • COMFORT – Rigid at the very beginning, but over time it turns out to be conformed to the foot. 5/5
  • RESISTANCE – Indestructible, great strength and durability 5/5
  • DESIGN – Manufactured basing on SUEM style. A very fashioning model. 4,5/5
