It is a non-invasive, safe and rapid technique that allows the presence of cysts, inflammation, tumours or benign nodules to be identified with sufficient certainty.
What is breast echocolordoppler used for?
With the echocolordoppler of the breast it is possible to assess the presence of blood vessels in the identified lesion.
In this way, a more precise diagnosis can be made by defining the benign or malignant nature of the lesion.
The diagnostic capacity can be increased by using a contrast agent, which is injected directly into the vein.
Who can perform the test?
Echocolordoppler of the breast with contrast medium is contraindicated only during pregnancy or in cases of galactosemia.
Breast echocolordoppler is a non-invasive and painless test.
Only if contrast medium has to be used is it possible to experience some discomfort (pain or a sensation of heat or cold) at the injection site.

The patient lies on a couch with the part to be examined uncovered.
Images are acquired with a probe using a special thick gel.
You may be asked to lie still or hold your breath for a few moments to get sharper images.
At the end of the test, you can immediately return to your daily routine.
