Russia, Federal Agency for Health Personnel assisting evacuees in Rostov

Russia’s Federal Biomedical Agency (FMBA) provides medical assistance to LPR and DPR displaced persons in the Rostov region

Russian doctors and nurses working in three mobile centres in the Rostov – on – Don region

On behalf of the head of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency, Veronika Skvortsova, three mobile medical centres have been activated in the Rostov region – in Taganrog, Rostov-on-Don and at the border at the Matveev Kurgan checkpoint to provide emergency medical care attention to those arriving from the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics.

In order to assess the quality of medical care for displaced persons in the Rostov region, Mikhail Ratmanov, head of the Department for the Organisation of Medical Care, Industrial Medicine and Emergency Response of the FMBA of Russia, arrived on a working visit.

The head of the Agency noted that FMBA of Russia has its representation in 55 constituent entities of the Russian Federation: “In all districts we have a powerful district medical centre and a developed branch system.

Since yesterday we have placed several mobile complexes at checkpoints across the border and at large temporary accommodation sites.

We have a large reserve of beds in the Medical Centre of the Southern District of FMBA of Russia and today we already have the first patients admitted.

Everything is working: first aid, outpatient and inpatient care.

We have also started a thorough medical examination of those who have arrived: all those in need will receive full medical care.

Mikhail Ratmanov visited the mobile medical complex of the Medical Centre of the Southern District of FMBA of Russia in the city of Taganrog, in the village of Avilo-Uspenka and in the city of Rostov – on – Don

“In three mobile medical centres deployed by FMBA of Russia in the Rostov region, assistance is provided to all those in need from the territories of the DPR and LPR.

Now the necessary volume of diagnostic studies has been carried out for all patients who applied. The Agency is ready to evacuate and place serious patients in the FMBA medical centres of Russia,” he said.

At the same time, more than 50 patients have already undergone clinical examination at the point located in Rostov-on-Don.

At the moment, four patients have been referred for hospital treatment to the Rostov Clinical Hospital of the Southern District Medical Centre of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency of Russia, two patients to the therapeutic department and two patients to the neurology department, where they are receiving full treatment and care.

The state of emergency in the Don region continues due to the arrival of displaced persons from the DPR and LPR.
